If there’s one thing Aussies love more than live music, it’s getting behind a good cause, as evident via the results from this year’s Ausmusic T-Shirt Day.
Charity organisation Support Act has announced that the November 15 event raised an “unbelievable” $260,664, which will provide crisis relief and mental health counselling services to those in the music industry who are doing it tough.
“A huge thank you to everyone who set up a team fundraising page, made a donation, rallied their networks, posted their photos to social media, purchased and/or donated proceeds from the sale of t-shirts,” Support Act said.

The huge event saw the music industry rally together, showing off some of their favourite local band tees, with Paul Kelly, Vera Blue and more among the artists taking part, leading to Ausmusic T-Shirt Day trending at #2 on Twitter.
