While hopes have been high that a trans-Tasman travel bubble would open in early 2021, the latest jump in active Australian case numbers have dashed any chance of it being in place for this year's Summer Concert Tour.
Iconic Australian outfits The Angels, Pseudo Echo and MI-SEX were all originally on the bill for three shows in Queenstown, Taupo and Whitianga between 23-31 Jan, though this is no longer possible.
Promoters Greenstone Entertainment have announced that joining the tour in their place are beloved local groups The Jordan Luck Band, Stellar* and Hello Sailor.
Greenstone Entertainment CEO Amanda Calvert also expressed her sympathies in an attached statement.
“We send our best wishes to everyone in The Angels, Pseudo Echo and MI-SEX," said Calvert, "along with their families at this difficult time and completely understand that their health, safety and wellbeing must take priority in these unprecedented times."
