Kate Miller-Heidke is returning to Brisbane next month for a special 'live and intimate' hometown show.

The show, which takes place at Fortitude Music Hall on Friday 20 November, is in celebration of Miller-Heidke's latest album, Child In Reverse.

“BRISBANE, it doesn’t quite seem real but I’m heading home to play for you live, in person, in November," said Miller-Heidke.

"These will be intimate stripped-back shows with a loose format. Requests encouraged. Come. Heckle. New songs, old songs, maybe a cover or two. Is it too early for Christmas songs? Does anyone have tips on how to survive two weeks’ hotel quarantine with a four-year-old? Can’t wait to see you. xx"

Child In Reverse is due for release this Friday 30 October, and was produced and recorded in Melbourne with Evan Klar.

“I keep getting drawn back to pop music,” said Miller-Heidke of the album.

“The minimalism, the economy… I find that incredibly rewarding and challenging. It’s like a quest to nail the perfect pop song. When it can be done, for me, as a listener, it’s my favourite music.”

Despite a year of minimal touring, Miller-Heidke still found a way to impress crowds in 2020, taking up a stint as one of the contestants on The Masked Singer Australia. Read our wrap-up here.

Tickets for the show are on sale from Thursday 29 October, head to theGuide for all the info.
