Slowly Slowly have made their highest ever debut on this week's ARIA Albums chart with latest LP Race Car Blues

The Melbourne band have placed at #7 on this week's chart, comfortably beating their ARIA chart record. Previous album St Leonards debuted at #77 in 2018.

Race Car Blues earned The Music's Album Of The Week spot on its release, with reviewer Emily Blackburn saying the band have "have held nothing back [both] musically and emotionally".

Las Vegas heavy metal outfit Five Finger Death Punch were this week's highest debut on the chart landing at #2 with F8

South Korean boy band BTS remained at #1 after they took out the top spot last week with latest album, Map Of The Soul: 7.

Elsewhere, Lil Baby's My Turn debuted at #20 and James Taylor's American Standard landed at #23. Other albums debuting included Caribou's Suddenly at #35 and Saviour's A Lunar Rose at #47.

Over on the Singles chart, The Weeknd made it seven straight weeks atop the list with Blinding Lights. Lady Gaga's recent single Stupid Love came in at #7.

Other new songs that hit the Singles chart this week included Powfu's Death Bed (#32) and The Other Side by Justin Timberlake and SZA (#43).
