Sony Music Entertainment Australia has today announced a number of promotions and new additions to their team. 

"These recent promotions and appointments are much deserved as our talented employees develop in their careers," said Sony Music Entertainment Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Australia and New Zealand, Denis Handlin AO.

"I am very proud of the team we have at Sony Music Australia and the culture that we have created in our company for not only our artists, but our respected workforce as well."

Marietta Ouzas has been promoted to Senior Manager Of A&R and Marketing, following work identifying and helping sign Tones & I and Tash Sultana. It has also been announced that Ouzas has now taken on co-management responsibilities for Tones & I alongside Lemon Tree Music and Artists Only. 

Mo Komba, who is also known for his work with Diafrix, joins the Sony Music Entertainment as Senior A&R Manager. Komba is a co-founder of Alt Music Group, as well as a songwriter, engineer and producer. 

Jaden Parkes is promoted to Director of A&R in New Zealand, while Petrina Convey has been promoted to Vice President of Cultural Marketing & Artist Development and Head of Urban Music, Asia Pacific which will see her work with local and international artists to their tell stories through events and content. 

Grant Donges is now Vice President of International Artists Marketing and Communications, while Ian Grady has been appointed Senior Director of Marketing which will see him report to Donges and work on artist projects with Sony's local and international roster. 

Wayne Ringrow will now oversee New Zealand domestic artists marketing in addition to his Australian artists marketing and artist management responsibilities. Kim Caley has been promoted to Senior Director of Marketing and Media Planning and will oversee the company’s media planning and buying strategy. Martin Harris joins the team as Director of Marketing after working with Sony Music in London for six years. 

Tammy Hofbauer has been appointed Director, National Promotions while Fenella Wagener is now Director, Promotions & Media, Victoria which will see them both co-manage the National Promotions team. Rachel Jones-Williams is now Senior Manager, National Promotions & Communications which sees her work across day-to-day relationships for the company and impact at triple j, community and alternative media. 

Claire Morrissey is now Senior Manager, Promotions & Media, Queensland which sees her responsible for overseeing all of the company’s activity across Queensland. 

A group of 13 interns have started as part of the Sony Music Academy program which offers 12 month paid positions for interns in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Auckland.
