Russell Brand has announced he is bringing his Recovery Live show to Australia in 2020.

The UK comedian will head to the country next February, with performances scheduled for Brisbane, Canberra, Newcastle, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide.

“This is a program for living for those aspiring to be saints who have lived too long among demons," Brand said of Recovery Live.

"This is an alternative vision for life at a time devoid of real values and connection. This could be the thing you have been looking for and it’s weird that this is the way you’re going to find it.”

The Australian tour will be Brand's first since 2015 when he took his Trew World Order show around the country.

Tickets for all dates go on sale from 9am on Monday 16 December.
