Veteran Japanese pop-punkers Shonen Knife have announced they will return to Australia this year for a huge headline tour.
Set to head our way in September, the trip will mark the band's fourth tour of the country since their first in 1997 in support of Big Day Out.
The trio, featuring original member Atsuko, Naoko and latest drummer Risa will perform in Brisbane, Ballarat, Perth, Sydney, Canberra, Adelaide, Hobart and Melbourne.
The run will also include spots on Melbourne's NGV Friday Nights programme, WA's Wave Rock Weekender and Adelaide's OzAsia Festival.
A number of popular local acts will join Shonen Knife's tour as supports, including Ben Ely (Regurgitator) and I Heart Hiroshima and Glitoris.
