Having spent much of 2016 touring Australia's finest festivals such as WOMADelaide, Golden Plains and A Day On The Green (the latter of which they have again signed up for in 2017), this morning US rock sons Violent Femmes have also unveiled news of their biggest Aussie tour since 2005.

With shows set in heaps of regional and suburban towns, Richie and the band state, "We would like to continue our decades-long love affair with Australia by bringing the rock to the regions. We will be playing old favourites and new with our usual shambolic splendour."

With their first record in 16 years, We Can Do Anything, in tow, the Femmes will bring Indigenous father-daughter duo Rayella along to shows in Geelong, Newastle, Penrith, Wollongong, Darwin, Tweed Heads and more next March/April.
