In what will be her first tour of Australia since 2012, acclaimed UK songwriter PJ Harvey has announced she'll be returning to the country in 2017 for a headline national tour with her full ten-piece band.

Harvey and her band will hit the stage next January in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, as well as two stops in New Zealand.

The trip Down Under comes on the back of the singer's April-released LP, The Hope Six Demolition Project, which peaked at #7 on the Aussie charts and #1 in the UK.

The tour announcement has dropped just one day before Harvey is to appear at the Melbourne Writers Festival alongside photojournalist Seamus Murphy at Athenaeum Theatre.

Tickets for the 2017 tour go on sale this Thursday — for more details, check out theGuide.
