Masterful singer-songwriter and local indigenous mentor Robbie Miller has had a stunning 2015 with the release of a debut EP and first single 'The Pain' being added to the triple j hit list. To celebrate, he's bringing his smooth, delicate melodies to Black Bear Lodge in November for a special one-off show with a difference. Enlisting some of Brisbane's brightest up-and-coming Music Industry College (MIC) students as support, Robbie is keeping true to his mentoring roots.

Choosing MIC students to support his hometown show was a no-brainer for Robbie. "I work with young people everyday to help them achieve their goals so creating an opportunity where I can bring my two passions - music and mentoring - together is such a great feeling and I can't wait to launch my debut EP alongside these talented students," he says.

Robbie Miller's debut EP, 'The Faster The Blood Slows', is a triumph of mature, insightful writing and tender delivery. A natural at walking that treacherous line between emotive and restrained, Miller's work is placid yet truly engaging, and draws you deeper into his world with every silk-smooth croon.

Following the glowing reception of lead single 'Sunday' and a triple j NIMA award for his track 'Don't Go Walking Away' Robbie Miller's has continued with 'The Pain', garnering national praise and earning a spot on triple j rotation.

A masterful EP isn't the only goal that Robbie's kicked this year. He impressed punters and media at BIGSOUND, the much-lauded, largest music industry conference in the Southern Hemisphere, in September. Beyond commanding over no less than three BIGSOUND showcases (including the QMusic's HOME Indigenous showcase) during the conference, Robbie has also spent the beginning of October touring the east coast with fellow singer/songwriter Mike Waters. Anyone who doesn't take the chance to witness the splendour and sophistication of this talented musician in person will be sorely missing out.

Joining Robbie Miller from MIC are 16 year old folk singer Asha Jefferies and bluesy Brit rock teen Finley Miller. All of this and more will be brought to Brisbane's Black Bear Lodge for what could be the last chance to see Robbie Miller in 2015.
