Salmonella Dub return for their first live Australian shows since Peates Ridge in 2012.
The band will be joined by Laughton Kora and guests to perform at Melbourne's Prince Bandroom in St Kilda on November 13th.
Salmonella Dub's first shows in Australia were spread over a two week tour of
Melbourne's club and pub venues in 1998. This culminated in a live performance on the ABC network's Recovery show at 7.30am on a Saturday morning after loading out from a late night club gig at Chapel St's Revolver venue.

Salmonella Dub first played Sydney in the same year supporting the Cruel Sea over 3 sold out nights at the Metro. The band went on to headline the venue multiple times and even recorded the video for their seminal hit Slide there
in 2004.

Over the last two years Salmonella Dub have been quietly working away on their next studio album and have played a run of live shows in NZ testing out album material with their new 4 part powerhouse horn section. They have made regular trips back over to Australia working in band member Ant's Smith and Western Studios in Sydney and performing as the stripped backed Salmonella Dub Soundsystem a dancefloor club version of the live band.
In 2013 the band released their 12(2) vinyl Same Home Town, a dedication to all who were shaken in the Christchurch earthquakes. The vinyl features remixes from Melbourne icon Dub FX and Organikismness both friends whom they have connected with and worked together by swapping remix work.

This year they will release the next wave of new material from their next album (due out in 2016) with an EP leading up to the Australian shows.
The band is unique in the fact that their music appeals across multiple generations and has won fans around the world with their unique mix of dub, rock, jazzy horns, drum & bass, electronica and reggae which has seen them produce many multi-platinum and gold-selling albums.
