First two shows on GTM went extremely well... and now headed to Perth this Wednesday for the first club show.
Just added to the Brisbane show is second guest... MONSTER ZOKU ONSOMB!
Techno Jungle Sixties Hardcore Punk from Outa Space! 5 piece Monster Zoku Onsomb! formed in Brisbane in 2004, forged by the fear of boredom, with retro futurism ideas, aim to shove a good time up your nose no matter what planet of sound you currently inhabit. Four albums released from Russia to the UK and 7 world tours performing at non commercial festivals and events. Text here
One week out from blast off Melbourne verges on a sell out, and GTM Bunbury, Bendigo and Maitland are all sold out... joining Peaches for these fast-approaching, rip-scorching club shows are the following special guests.
In Perth guests will be newcomers ABACAXUVA.
This trio is ex-Sex Panther Mouth, whose disco-meets-grunge licks and grooves provide the swampy bedding for Rex's helium-glam to murderous-croon vocals. These two elements are locked into step with Bowie's tom-heavy drumming, and the three navigate danceable punk to surf and garage rock with champagne and rum-fuelled enthusiasm.
For Melbourne none other than the punk synthonics of NUN.
Formed in late 2011, out of a shared love of Coil, Throbbing Gristle, John Carpenter, Goblin... amid the aesthetic influence from 80's BBC sci-fi and British 70's horror films, Carpenter's They Live and Cronenberg's Videodrome, as well as the esoteric imagery of Readers Digest: Strange Stories & Amazing Facts, where images of possession, stigmata, spirit photography and apparitions sit beside tales of the Loch Ness Monster and moving statues. Huge gnarly basslines, shimmering analogue synths, punishing drum machine and the most malevolent vocal presence since the Dalek, Nun's sound ranges from sinister drone orgy to hyperkinetic synth punk and uber-saturated gothic psychosis. xxxnunxxx.bandcamp.com
And in Brisbane up and coming experimental siren MKO...
MKO is the brainchild of Hannah Makk-multi-faceted singer, songwriter, producer and artist, who has always been wildly excited by the potential of imagination. Reaching outside of modern pop music, MKO brings together a vast array of influences; from Ravel to The Neptunes, from Stevie Wonder to Bjork, from gospel hymns to 70s funk. Loathing labels, she describes the sound as simply 'experimental', adding 'MKO must be heard. Words are only words.' www.mko.net.au
And in Sydney current pulsations BLOODS.
After the release of their debut album 'Work It Out' late last year, Bloods continues to kick goals through 2015. Signing a US deal with the prestigious Minty Fresh Records, their debut album receiving a stateside release on 21st April. Having showcased at the 2016 SXSW, they just wrapped up an eleven date tour of the USA with homegrown heroes The Preatures.

PEACHES & PHOTOGRAPHER HOLGER TALINSKI TO RELEASE WHAT ELSE IS IN THE TEACHES OF PEACHES PHOTO BOOK VIA AKASHIC BOOKS
Fifteen years ago, Peaches exploded onto the scene with the track 'Fuck The Pain Away.' In the following years, she has become a symbol of progressive and transgressive pop culture, shattering gender stereotypes, promoting sex positivity, and constantly pushing through boundaries of art and performance. The 160-page hardbound What Else Is In The Teaches of Peaches presents Peaches in spaces in and out of the public eye, through evocative, incredibly intimate, and never-before-seen photos captured from 2009 through 2014 by photographer Holger Talinski.
In addition to a foreword from Peaches explaining how her collaboration with Talinksi came into being, the book also features pieces written by Yoko Ono, who discusses Peaches' performance of Ono's famous work, Cut Piece, Michael Stipe, who praises Peaches' strength, ferocity, and dedication, noting 'she will speak for any and all of us if we will not speak for ourselves,' and the actress Ellen Page, who shares the transformative empowerment of seeing Peaches live when she was sixteen years old.
Pre-orders of What Else Is In The Teaches of Peaches will feature a gorgeous and exclusive limited edition 10' x 12.35' photo print of Peaches by Holger Talinski, signed and individually numbered by both Peaches and Talinski. This unique photo, hand-picked by Peaches and Talinski, is exclusive to this pre-order and does not appear in the book. Pre-orders will also receive a Peaches 'Grillz' necklace, a cast replica of Peaches' teeth on a matching gold chain, made in collaboration with Snash Jewelry.
