Australian National Tour Announced!
Relentlessly lauded as one of Australia's great bands, Wagons are excited to be hitting the highways and byways near you, battering their heels upon some sorely neglected local stages. Having spent more time touring and honing their craft in North America than on home shores in recent years, the boys now have their sweaty eyebrows solely set on home turf once again.

This will be the first full band Australian national tour in over three years to celebrate the upcoming release of their much-awaited album 'Acid Rain and Sugar Cane', out May 16. As well as their home state of Victoria, this tour also incorporates visits to Tasmania, Western Australia, South Australia, ACT, New South Wales and Queensland and the Northern Territory spanning across this May and June.

'Acid Rain and Sugar Cane' follows Henry Wagons' 2013 duets release 'Expecting Company' that featured spectacular couplings with Alison Mosshart, Robert Forster and more. But, this new full band effort is bound to be regarded as Wagons' most ambitious and broad-reaching album to date. It's full of guitar electricity and bombastic, bad-ass Vegas production, from sassy horns and Rat Pack strings through to high voice female choirs.

This Mick Harvey co-produced grand statement takes the listener on twists and turns through the many dusty and haunted halls the band has stomped through over the past decade. Take a few sips of your favourite cocktail, climb out of the hammock and follow Wagons on this new journey. It's an album that is bound to lend itself perfectly to the full technicolour shows for which Wagons are renowned. Expect a show both turbulent and intricate; a controlled calamity and triumph... an entertaining ride in the best possible way.

Joining the cavalcade for this series of untamed nights (playing NSW, ACT and VIC shows only) is Tennessee's own flailing-legged singing cowboy intellect wild-card Jonny Fritz, exclusively invited and flown over by Wagons, fresh from across the Pacific. He is another twisted, bearded entertainer with a powerfully unique flair. Fritz is bound to provide the perfect accompaniment to seduce the throngs, with his brand of Western song and dance.

Last year's two Wagons album preview shows in Melbourne and Sydney both sold out prior to the performance, so be sure to book your place for this bulldozer of a bill.
