COMBICHRIST
'Monsters on Tour'

Due to overwhelming demand Combichrist's Monsters On Tour Australia 2012 shows are now even BIGGER with the addition of amazing international guests ANGELSPIT (Zoog von Rock dj set) and the return of the infamous LAB4 featuring A+D+A+M along with an absolute killer collection of local supports in each state.

Featuring members Zoog and Destroyx, Angelspit produce a sinisterly glorious pounding brutality. Synthesizers are slain, drum machines burned and samplers are tortured while viscous guitars and corruptive beats are added to the torture mix. Since 2004, Angelspit have been thrilling audiences the world over with their concoction of industrial-strength guitar riffs, clever hooks and pathologically disturbed synths. The band's high energy duel vocal assault has earned them the reputation of being one of the most innovative acts in the world of alternative music.

Originating in Sydney and now based in the US and Berlin, Angelspit have shared stages with acts such as KMFDM, Skinny Puppy, Frontline Assembly, Sisters of Mercy and Nitzer Ebb. Angelspit's aesthetic concept is equally as iconic as their musical statement, as they continue to develop their fierce design and fashion aesthetic. Visually arresting photography and bold typography characterises all of Angelspit's designs. Zoog from Angelspit has put together a special DJ set to unleash at Combichrist's Australian shows in January 2012.

It was with immense pride that Pharmacy presented the final Australian performance of Lab4 some four years ago! A+D+A+M continued the myth and the legend under a new moniker 'The Judas Coven' who have supported the likes of Frontline Assembly and Grendal amongst others. A+D+A+M returns to Australia in support of Combichrist playing an exclusive classic Lab4 set!

With a career that has shone like a dark star across the globe for some 15 years, Australia has always been a special destination for the Lab4 bomb squad. After countless memorable performances across the breadth of our sun burnt country- Lab4 are back for one last disasterpiece- a 90-minute celebration of their heretic career featuring only the seminal tracks and the very best of the many monster anthems penned by the pair. Come and pay your respects to the ORIGINAL electronic gangsters- nobody has pimped the industrial hard dance movement as long and hard as the baddest mother f*ckers in the game!

Across the course of their five infamous albums including the recent smash hit 'Making Monsters', Andy LaPlagua (Icon Of Coil) and his band of miscreants, Combichrist have redefined the sound of modern industrial music. Their uncompromising blend of vocal aggression, metal guitar filth and brutal synth manipulation, have seen them touring extensively with the likes of Rammstein, faithful fans the world over have been drawn to the band's floor-shattering beats and power noise electronics!

With their latest album 'Making Monsters', LaPlegua and Combichrist have developed into a leaner, more aggressive beast. The album kicks off with a hauntingly atmospheric instrumental "Declamation," setting the tone for what is to follow: dark, stabbing synths; heavy, robotic beats; and swarming, buzz saw-style guitar sounds. Songs such as "Follow the Trail of Blood" (featuring Brendan Schiepatti of Bleeding Through) are baretoothed aggression; meanwhile the floor-stomping first single "Never Surrender" proves to be aggressively catchy, with its metronome-tight rhythm through the verses giving way to explosive choruses that are bound to pack dance floors.

Though the moods displayed in 'Making Monsters' are decidedly sinister, LaPlegua manages to portray these emotions in many different guises. Laden with hook heavy choruses, speaker-crushing beats, and LaPlegua's trademark dark, aggressive vocals, this is an album that exudes honesty and the darkness that often comes with it. As Australian audiences are soon again to witness- Combichrist are THE unrelenting, malevolent force in modern industrial music.
