THE BOROUGHS featuring NEW YORK DOLLS!!

It’s official. The Boroughs - the boutique New York-inspired arts and culture festival - will bring the highly influential punk band the New York Dolls to Australia this October!

For the first time since 2007, the 70s icons will reach Australian shores in all their glamour and glory. This time, it’ll be as spokespeople and headline performers for The Boroughs, which happen in Melbourne on October 8, Brisbane on October 13 and Sydney on October 15. Each date will feature a stellar line-up of Australian and international music and arts guests, spearheaded by the Dolls.

Formed in 1971, the raw, pioneering punk outfit and its mainstay members, David Johansen and Sylvain Sylvain, paved the way for music to come. In 2010 in a castle in the North of England, the two worked together on a new Dolls album (their fifth to date) titled ‘Dancing Backwards In High Heels.’
