For all those who attended last year’s Gum Ball Festival and said they couldn’t wait for the next one, well we’ve got some good news for you… Gum Ball is back! The 7th annual event will be held on Friday 29th and Saturday 30th April, once again at its beloved bush land home of ‘Dashville’ at Belford, 2.5 hours North of Sydney, 1hr west of Newcastle in the beautiful Hunter Valley. Boasting its biggest and best line-up to date, the boutique family friendly event has stuck true to its format, once again putting forward a remarkably diverse line up with everything from old time blues, to deep funk to a Black Sabbath tribute band. Maori rock/dub/reggae rhythm powerhouse KORA top the solid list of over 20 acts from all around Australia, with other top bands including ARIA award winning Calypso Bluesman CW Stoneking & His Primitive Horn Orchestra, Melbourne blues rockers The Vasco Era, deep funk pioneers The Bamboos, the new soul project for Katalyst & Steve Spacek Space Invadas, Brisbane live hip hop pioneers Resin Dogs and folk pop quartet Custom Kings, to name a few. Combine all the awesome live music with onsite camping, byo, delicious food, market stalls, late night Silent Disco, kiddies mega playground and workshops, fancy dress competition, charity fundraising, some big warm fires and a perfect family friendly vibe, and it really is hard to go past Gum Ball as being the truly refreshing and affordable experience for the whole family or anybody looking for a weekend away without the hassles. A full weekend pass including two nights camping is $130+bf, entry for children under 12 years old is free and teenager/family concessions are also available on the gate.
