New Zealand’s kings of everything dub/roots/reggae are making their way back to Australia for one huge all ages show at the Metro Theatre on Saturday 4th July. After briefly visiting our shores for the release of their 6th studio album ‘Heal Me’, Australian audiences will once again be treated to the trademark dub styling’s of a band long considered the pioneers of roots and reggae music in their native New Zealand. ‘Heal Me’ which sees the departure of Tiki Taane and a shift back to the bands earlier punk-roots styling’s has almost reached platinum sales in New Zealand, making it the fastest selling Salmonella Dub album to date.
The album is a vocally lush, musically seamless, horn laden, long player featuring the bands hallmark heavy rhythm section layered with Salmonella Dub psychedelic colorings. In Australia the albums anthem ‘Love, Sunshine and Happiness’ has emerged as a Triple J listeners favourite, only highlighting Australian audience’s love affair with the band. Originators. Innovators. Legends. Now catch them live...this is how they do it best! |
