Blink-182 will aim to score their first-ever Australian #1 record with NINE on this week's ARIA Albums chart.

According to midweek figures, the pop punk legends' latest album is on track to debut inside the top ten and will make a run for top spot against likely contenders, Post Malone's Hollywood's Bleeding and Taylor Swift's Lover, as well as Liam Gallagher's new LP, Why Me? Why Not?., which is also aiming for a top ten finish.

Blink have previously scored three #2 placings on the chart - 2016's California, 2011's Neighborhoods and 2001's Take Off Your Pants & Jacket - but are yet to score a #1 record in Australia. Check out our opinion piece on NINE here.

Other album debuts this week include As I Lay Dying's Shaped By Fire (top 15), Zac Brown Band's The Owl (top 20) and Tove Lo's Sunshine Kitty (top 40).

Over on the Singles chart, Byron Bay-based Tones & I's Dance Monkey will be looking to make history and tie the record for the longest-running #1 single from an Aussie act, set by Justice Crew in 2014 with Que Sera, at nine weeks.

The burgeoning songwriter's chances of achieving the feat are promising, given that the only debuts on the list this week come from Maroon 5 with Memories (top 40) and Regard with Ride It (top 50).
