Triple J's Hottest 100 voting has been open for almost two weeks now and with 2018 coming to a close, we thought it'd be an opportune time to see how those votes are coming along.
"The internet's most accurate prediction" of the annual countdown, 100 Warm Tunas, has been tallying the votes based on screenshots and hashtags posted to social media and the top ten alone is shaping up quite nicely.
While the figures are not an official indicator of votes, the Warm Tunas website has been on the money in the past. In this year's countdown, it correctly predicted Kendrick Lamar's HUMBLE would come in at #1, as well as other top end tracks such as Gang Of Youths' Let Me Down Easy and Methyl Ethel's Ubu.
Currently, Sydney outfit Ocean Alley are at the top of the list with Confidence, ahead of Childish Gambino's This Is America at #2 and Ruby Fields' Dinosaurs at #3.
"We're blown away by the number of votes we've seen," Ocean Alley told The Music.
"Big thank you to everyone who has voted for us!"
Other artists currently featured in the top 20 include Amy Shark, Bring Me The Horizon, DZ Deathrays, Dean Lewis, WAAX, Mallrat and Grammy-nominated Gold Coast DJ Fisher, who today topped the US Billboard dance chart with his hit, Losing It.
