Aussie producer Fisher has been gifted an early Christmas present with news that he's taken out #1 on the US Billboard Dance chart with global hit, Losing It.

The July-released single had been climbing the Dance Club Songs since it debuted 17 weeks ago but it has finally made its way to top spot.

As Billboard reports, only two songs have taken longer to reach #1 on the chart - Juliet Roberts' Caught in the Middle (July 1994, 19 weeks) and Tom Tom Club's Wordy Rappinhood/Genius of Love (January 1982, 18 weeks).

Losing It has also jumped up three spots from last week on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart to place at #22.

The impressive feat comes after the Gold Coast DJ's song scored a nomination for Best Dance Recording at next year's Grammys and also landing an ARIA nomination last month.

Fisher will next perform at Victoria's Beyond The Valley NYE Festival; for more details, scroll down.
