The year might be coming to a close, but Bluesfest is far from done, today confirming Jack White as a headliner for the festival’s 30th-anniversary celebrations in 2019.
The US songwriter will make the trip to Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm next year with rock supergroup, The Saboteurs, (known outside of Australia as The Raconteurs) featuring the line-up of Brendan Benson, Jack Lawrence and Patrick Keeler for their very first Australian visit.
It comes after the group released their first new tracks in over a decade, Sunday Driver and Now That You’re Gone, with an album expected to follow next year.
They join previously-announced talent Iggy Pop, Norah Jones, Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, Paul Kelly, Julia Stone, George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Mavis Staples, Kasey Chamber and so many more in Byron Bay from April 18 – 22.
The announcement also follows the release of White’s acclaimed third studio LP, Boarding House Reach, earlier this year.
