As we enter festival season and the pill testing debate hits overdrive, a new survey has been released that shows the majority of Australians want on-site testing facilities at events.

As Buzzfeed notes, Essential Research asked 1,026 individuals if they “support or oppose pill testing services”, 59% of which ‘totally support’ it, while only 17% ‘totally opposed’ it.

The new figures come just over a week after NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian shutdown calls for pill testing following the death of a punter at a dance festival in Sydney earlier this month.
