If you’re looking for a way to give back this holiday season and have unwanted music gear, turn your attention to Girls Rock! Melbourne, who are currently accepting donations for their next camp and an exciting new project.
Girls Rock! have setup a "holiday wish-tree" at The Last Chance Rock & Roll Bar, where people can donate guitars, amps, drums, music accessories, pedals and more during the month of December.
The gear donated will not only be available at their next camp in January, but at an instrument library for female, trans, and gender diverse young people, which will be launched early next year.
“Think of all the future rock stars this'll help encourage!” Girls Rock! said.
If you don’t have anything to donate but still want to get behind a great cause, there are tags on the tree that contain items from their wishlist. You can head down to The Last Chance Rock & Roll Bar, grab a tag, buy something and put it under the tree.
Girls Rock! Melbourne will host a soon-to-be-detailed benefit gig on January 6 where they’ll announce what was collected throughout December.
You can find out more details about the “holiday wish-tree” here and info on next month’s camp here.
