After making a splash earlier this year, music and surfing festival The Drop will return in 2019, today unveiling dates and venues as the event expands.
Last year, The Drop followed the Australian leg of the World Surf League Championship Tour, hitting Coolangatta, Torquay and Margaret River with a star-studded local line-up that included the likes of SAFIA, Dune Rats, San Cisco, Holy Holy, Ruby Fields and more.
From March to June of next year, The Drop will return to those locations as well as Newcastle and Manly in conjunction with the WSL Qualifying Series, celebrating “music, surf, community culture, and a love of the ocean”.
“I’m thrilled to be working alongside the legends at the Drop Festival for the 2019 tour,” The Drop Festival director Wayne “Rabbit” Barthol said.
“We are stoked to announce we’ll be adding the beautiful locations of Newcastle and Manly to our national run.
“A stellar artist line up, good vibes, fine food and drink - presented in some of Australia’s most beautiful coastal locations – what could be better!”
The line-up is expected to drop early next and will feature “includes more of the countries biggest names in music”.
