Becoming the Northern Territory’s largest music festival, BASSINTHEGRASS will expand in 2019, relocating to accommodate nearly twice the capacity while almost doubling the number of artists on the line-up.
Entering its 17th year in 2019, the annual event will relocate from George Brown Darwin Botanic Gardens to Mindil Beach on May 18.
The line-up is expected to drop in February, with organisers promising “some of the nation’s biggest names in music” after hosting Paul Kelly, Vera Blue and more earlier this year.
“After several back to back years of sold out shows, we’re thrilled to open BASSINTHEGRASS music festival to even more music lovers,” NT Major Events Company General Manager Tim Watsford said.
“The new location at iconic Mindil Beach allows us to cater to create a true festival atmosphere for festival goers across the country and around the world.
“We’re excited to make 2019 the biggest ever BASSINTHEGRASS and the largest music festival ever held in the Territory. We are able to offer festival goers double the acts and an experience that goes beyond the music with a backdrop unlike anywhere else in Australia.”
The new venue will feature a boutique cocktail bar, show rides, a silent disco, stalls and more.
Earlier Bird tickets are now on sale and you can find more info via the festival’s website.
