Burgeoning Aussie songwriter G Flip has been given a massive boost ahead of her 2019 tour, today being announced as the recipient of the second ARIA Emerging Artist Scholarship.
The scholarship, a partnership with ARIA and Virgin Australia, aims to help emerging artists take the next step in their local and global touring career and is open to any Australian act that hasn't been previously nominated for any ARIA Awards category with an Album or Single before the 2018 ceremony.
The honour will provide G Flip travel support for the domestic and international legs of her upcoming tour.
"Stoked to accept the ARIA’s Emerging Artist Scholarship for 2018," the Melbourne artist said.
"Thank you to the ARIA’s and Virgin Australia for allowing upcoming artists this opportunity."
ARIA Chief Executive Dan Rosen added, “On behalf of all at ARIA we are thrilled to present G Flip with the second ARIA Emerging Artist Scholarship Presented by Virgin Australia.
"I would like to thank Virgin Australia for their support and contribution which will assist in developing G Flip’s career and help her take her music to the world.”
G Flip will next perform at ABC's New Years Eve concert before moving on to play at the 2019 Laneway festivals; for more details, scroll down.
