A new music documentary series profiling 15 of the world's biggest names is set to hit Australian TV screens next month.
As TV Tonight reports, The Day The Rock Star Died features episodes focusing on acts such as David Bowie, Michael Jackson, Michael Hutchence, Amy Winehouse, Elvis Presley, George Michael, Tom Petty and Whitney Houston.
Following its international premiere last month, the series will premiere in Australia on Foxtel Arts on Thursday 13 December from 8.30pm.
The news comes only a week after ABC announced a documentary based on Hutchence will screen in 2019.
The documentary, Mystify, is co-produced and directed by Dogs In Space filmmaker Richard Lowenstein, who worked with INXS numerous times.
