Triple J Unearthed Has Scored Itself A Place At The Australian Music Vault

Triple J's Unearthed has been the launch pad for a lot of very influential Aussie acts - looking at you Courtney Barnett, Flume, The Middle East... 

Now, the platform is being celebrated in a new way having made it into the Australian Music Vault's The Amplifier at Arts Centre Melbourne.

"I think of The Amplifier as a big musical time machine," explains the Vault's Senior Curator Carolyn Laffan. 

"Not only can it take you whirring back to the sun-filled days of Sunbury or drop you into a screaming audience at Countdown, it can now immerse you in the heady world of triple j Unearthed; the engine room of contemporary Australian music."

“Triple J Unearthed is an amazing community of independent Australian artists and passionate music fans, and has helped kick-start the careers of thousands of Australian artists," adds ABC's Head Of Music Chris Scaddan. 

"We’re thrilled to partner with the Australian Music Vault to bring to life the incredible volume and diversity of musical talent Australia has to offer."

The exhibition has been soundtracked by Unearthed success story G Flip, whose track Killing My Time was a breakout hit on the platform.
