Julia Jacklin is showing no signs of slowing down with today's announcement that she'll be releasing a new album and heading out on tour in 2019.

Jacklin released her debut album, Don't Let The Kids Win, in 2016 and recently followed up with a release from her group Phantastic Ferniture in July this year. Jacklin's second solo album, Crushing, will be released on 22 February 2019.

Head Alone is the second single from the new album, which has been released today.

"Head Alone is not a song that comes from a singular experience," she explains.

"It came from two years of feeling like the space around me shrinking to the point where I couldn't even raise my arms. This song is me raising my arms and running into an open field. A bit of a plea to those around me to give me space and a song to remind myself that it's okay to enforce boundaries, the good people in your life will listen, adapt and still love you."

She'll be heading out in celebration of the release, with the tour kicking off at Unibar in Wollongong on 5 March and then heading to Canberra, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney, and then finishing in Canberra on 16 March.

Tickets for the shows go on sale from Friday 16 November, with pre-sale starting from Wednesday. Check out theGuide below for all the info.
