Baker Boy Continues Winning Streak, Announced As NT's Young Australian Of The Year

Emerging rapper and former cover star for The Music, Baker Boy aka Danzal Baker, has been awarded the title of Northern Territory Young Australian Of The Year. 

According to the National Australia Day Council he was recognised for using "his talent to inspire Indigenous youth to embrace their culture and take up leadership positions".

Baker has quickly risen to fame, finding success through rapping in his native Yolngu Matha language and is picking up awards left, right and centre.

Recently he was awarded the 2018 Corner Award he also picked up wins at this year's National Indigenous Music Awards and won Breakthrough Independent Artist of the Year at the 2018 AIR Awards.

He also picked up several nominations in The Age Music Victoria Awards which will be announced later this month.
