It's no secret that Australia loves Gang Of Youths; no city more so than Melbourne.

To celebrate the epic record the band broke for selling out a whopping eight performances at Melbourne's Forum (the most performances within one single tour in the venue's history), a local artist has painted a new mural on the nearby Hosier Lane dedicated to the band.

Luke Presto pulled an all-nighter to unveil the black and white street art just moments before the band started their eight-night residency last night.

"I started at half past nine [Saturday 27th October] and pretty steadily just worked all night," Presto said.

"This one was a really interesting challenge, it was quite a lot of information in a surprisingly small area, but I like a challenge."

Here's placing bets on how long it takes Brisbane to kick up a stink about not having one.
