The legendary Chrissy Amphlett is set to be inducted into The Age Music Victoria Awards Hall Of Fame this November.
Speaking about Amphlett's ongoing influence and legacy Music Victoria CEO Patrick Donovan said, ‘’Chrissy has a Melbourne city street named after her and a mural in her hometown of Geelong, and it’s about time she was inducted into the Age Music Victoria Hall of Fame.
"While she may have left us five years ago, her influence lives on in acts such as Amyl and the Sniffers, Ella Hooper and Dallas Frasca.’’
Fronting the Divinyls, Amphlett first rose to fame in the early '80s. She will join the Hall of Fame's most recent inductee, Ian 'Molly' Meldrum, which took place at the unveiling of his statue in Richmond last month.
The annual Victorian music awards will take place this year on 21 November. Public voting closes 9 November.
