British rock favourites Arctic Monkeys have announced a massive Australian tour in support of their latest record, Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino.
Alex Turner and co will take on arenas across Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane throughout February and March with support from LA rockers Mini Mansions.
The band dropped their sixth record back in May, which saw them take a step in a different direction and claim #1 on the Australian charts.
While its 11 songs may alientate some fans, as our track-by-track suggests, it’s clear the new tunes translate perfectly to a live setting, as noted by The Music’s Bryget Chrisfield who saw Arctic Monkeys at Hollywood Bowl last week.
“Any concerns as to how easily AM's new material would slot in amongst their previous, rockier output are immediately put to rest,” reads the review.
“The flow of their setlist is effortless and we're left well impressed and gagging for more.”
The tour kicks off in Perth next February, before moving to Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
