Oli Herbert, founding member and guitarist of US heavy metal band All That Remains, has passed away at the age of 44.
As TMZ reports, Herbert was found in a pond near his home in Connecticut and police are not treating the death as suspicious.
Though a cause of death is yet to be officially confirmed, Herbert's personal publicist issued a statement to Loudwire saying it happened "unexpectedly as a result of an accident which occurred on the property of his home".
All That Remains have paid tribute to Herbert's death in a statement on their Facebook page.
"We were devastated to learn that Oli Herbert, our friend, guitar player, and founding member of All That Remains, has passed away," the statement reads.
"Oli was an incredibly talented guitarist and songwriter who defined rock and metal from the Northeast. His impact on the genres and our lives will continue indefinitely."
Since forming in Massachusetts in 1998, All That Remains have released eight studio albums and their ninth, Victim Of The New Disease, is currently slated for release on 9 November.
The band are also scheduled to embark on a European tour with fellow US outfit Sevendust in December.
