Victorian police are investigating a scalper who they claim sold the same ticket to Listen Out’s Melbourne event 149 times.
A statement from police said “Listen Out festival-goers were duped into purchasing phony concert ticket”, with one punter purchasing two of the passes for $180 each.
Organisers told police the same ticket had been scanned 149 times that day, meaning the only person granted entry was the first person to have their ticket scanned.
Police are urging anyone else who might have been scammed to come forward.
