The Turn Up Sunshine Coast Music Industry Conference is celebrating its fifth birthday at The Playhouse at Solbar, Maroochydore on Thursday 18 October.
The conference features a huge lineup of speakers including Maggie Collins (Morning Belle), Tyler McLoughlan (Sound Pound), Kim Pengelly (QMusic), Matty Woo (Macro Music), Jeff Chandler (Gympie Music Muster and Chandler Music Works) and Leanne de Souza (AAM), proving that Turn Up is quickly becoming the country's favourite regional industry gathering.
The latest announcement provides a sneak peek into the two In Conversation sessions featured in the program, hosted by Leanne de Souza and Tyler McLoughlan.
Stuart Coupe will share insights and his journey in the music industry over the past 40 plus years with Leanne de Souza (Association of Artist Managers and Rock and Roll Writers Festival).
Stuart Coupe has worked as a journalist, author, editor, manager, record label director, radio presenter, publicist and tour promoter.
Career highlights include being the only Australian to interview Bob Dylan twice, working with The Clash, managing Paul Kelly and the Hoodoo Gurus Maggie Collins (Morning Belle) will share her stories with Tyler McLoughlan (Sound Pound).
Maggie Collins is a festival programmer, artist manager and radio broadcaster. She is the owner of Morning Belle, a music services company, under which she holds the position of Executive Programmer for BIGSOUND in Brisbane, and manages multi-ARIA Award winning party-thrash duo DZ Deathrays. With her radio hat on, she was Music Director at 4ZZZ before transitioning to triple j where she was a presenter for 6 years and is now presenting and producing for various shows across triple j Unearthed and Double J.
