Little BIGSOUND is back for another year in 2018!
Presented by QMusic and Brisbane City Council, the event will this year take place on Saturday 10 November at the State Library Of Queensland and will provide a practical, hands-on experience for 15 to 25-year-olds who are interested in the music industry.
WAAX frontwoman Marie DeVita will be this year's Mini Keynote speaker, where she will share her story about her "personal, creative and industry experiences."
There will be a session on how to write a hit song with producer Alexander Henriksson, who has worked with Matt Corby, Tash Sultana and Jarryd James, and APRA AMCOS will explain how royalties work and how music creators can get paid for their work.
Sync agent Tyler McLoughlan will explain copyright and revenue streams, while GYROstream's Viv Mellish will share her experience on digital marketing strategies. QMusic's Eliza Heath will chat with Secret Sounds' Georgia Beehang to share their experience of careers in the music industry outside of performance.
There will also Round Table sessions where groups can meet with local managers, booking agents and venues.
This year's event also gives two emerging artists the opportunity to showcase their music on the day, with applications open until 1 October.
Tickets for the event are $35 (+ booking fee) and are on sale now, head to littlebigsound.org.au for more info.
