Following its opening in cinemas last month, feature documentary Jimmy Barnes: Working Class Boy will premiere on Channel Seven next month.
The film will light up screens in living rooms across the country on 1 October after its subject plays the AFL Grand Final alongside the Black Eyed Peas.
The documentary had the biggest opening ever for an Australian documentary when it opened last month, and the biggest opening for a documentary in general since Michael Jackson’s This Is It in 2009.
It is based on Barnsey’s memoir, Working Class Boy, and tells the story of his childhood in Glasgow and South Australia exploring themes of domestic violence, poverty and alcoholism.
