A British coroner has ruled the sudden passing of The Cranberries' Dolores O'Riordan as a drowning.

As ABC reports, Coroner Shirley Radcliffe found that the drowning in a London hotel bathtub on January 15 occurred due to alcohol intoxication, with toxicology reports showing her blood alcohol level was four times the legal driving limit.

“There's no evidence that this was anything other than a tragic accident," Radcliffe said.

O'Riordan was in London for a short recording session, contributing to a cover of The Cranberries' iconic track, Zombie.

She was 46 years old at the time of her passing.
