Victoria Police are calling on witnesses to come forward following a brawl that broke out at a record label launch in Melbourne on Saturday night.
In a statement released through their website, "Police encourage anyone who witnessed the event or who has information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential crime report" via the Crime Stoppers website, following an incident that took place on Smith Street in Melbourne.
It's been reported by ABC that a fight broke out during an event held at The Gasometer Hotel, around 2.45am Sunday morning which then resulted in around 200 people exiting the venue onto the street, where at the same time a car crashed into parked cars on the street and then pinned a man to another car.
An 18-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious leg injuries, with police stating that it is unclear if he was involved in the brawl.
Police Media have today advised that an 18-year-old man was also arrested yesterday, during a search warrant at his property.
Seven people have been reported as injured which includes a 21-year-old Footscray man who sustained non-life threatening injuries as a result from the affray, 21-year-old Cranbourne man, sustained minor injuries as a result of the affray and 18-year-old Cranbourne North man, sustained minor injuries as a result of the affray.
