The Amity Affliction have joined a small and elite group of acts in ARIA chart history after their new LP, Misery, debuted at #1 on this week's Albums list.
The achievement marks the Queensland outfit's fourth-straight #1 album; a feat last achieved by Aussie hip hop group Hilltop Hoods in 2014 with Walking Under Stars, while other bands who have also posted four-straight #1 albums include Silverchair and Powderfinger.
Misery has pushed Ariana Grande's Sweetener to #2 and Drake's Scorpion to #3.
Other albums debuting on the chart this week include South Korean boy band BTS' Love Yourself (#9), John Williamson's Butcherbird (#13), Alice In Chains' Rainier Fog (#15), Neil & Liam Finn's Lightsleeper (#21), Interpol's Marauder (#26), Beccy Cole's Lioness (#31) and Il Divo's Timeless (#37).
Over on the Singles chart, Sydney's Dean Lewis has made it three-straight weeks atop the list with Be Alright, while Benny Blanco's Eastside remains at #2.
The only debut on the chart this week comes from BTS with Idol, which has debuted at #35.
