A new Australian record label, Late Night Music has just been launched, with the aim of championing progressive house and techno music.

The announcement comes with an EP entitled Trajectory which features four electronic producers in a collection of club tracks due for release early next month.

After humble beginnings as a club night in Canberra called Department Of Late Nights, co-directors James Beetham and Peter O'Rourke are now excited for the future of the label.

"We're super excited by this project finally coming together," Beetham said.

"This is first of many releases to come, and showcases a sound Pete and I have been passionate about for years.

"To be able to support some of the really talented artists and put out some of the music we believe in is a very special thing."

O'Rourke shared Beetham's sentiment saying, "This is music that suits not only the dancefloor, but is equally a sonic delight for the ears on the home stereo."

"Each track represents a creative high point for each respective artist, who are all accomplished producers and DJs in the Australian dance music landscape.

"James and I can’t wait to share all the amazing music we have ready to go over the coming year."

More releases are due to be announced soon including a summer national club label tour.
