A celebration of Adelaide’s world-class music scene, the SAM Awards will return this November, today confirming Zan Rowe as the event’s host while public voting opens via The Music.
The state’s vibrant music scene never disappoints, and the past 12 months will be highlighted at Adelaide Town Hall on November 8 across the publicly voted People’s Choice Awards and the SAM Awards, the latter of which will be selected by a judging panel of local and national industry peers.
“The Adelaide music scene always punches above its weight and like other great creative cities, shows an incredible sense of community amongst the legends who keep the fires stoked,” Rowe said.
“I can’t wait to get back to Adelaide, a place that is always brimming with fans ready to celebrate and recognise the year’s best music, and party until the wee hours of the morn!”
This year’s industry judging panel will include triple j music director Nick Findlay, musician Emma Donovan, Groovin The Moo festival programmer Richard Moffat and more.
“We have an impressive community of exciting up and coming musicians and industry professionals, as well as local legends who have been contributing to the scene for many years,” Music SA general manager Lisa Bishop said.
“The SAM Awards is a wonderful opportunity to recognise the hard work of the people dedicated to making our creative scene the rich and vibrant culture that it is.”
The People’s Choice Awards, proudly hosted by The Music, are open now until September 17.
Early bird tickets are on sale now via the SAM Awards website.
