After a massive debut back in March, heavy music celebration Download Festival has locked in dates and venues for 2019.

Branching out to make its NSW debut, Download will set up at Parramatta Park in Sydney on March 9, before returning to Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne and taking advantage of the March 11 public holiday.

This year’s line-up featured Korn, Limp Bizkit, Prophets Of Rage, Arch Enemy, Neck Deep and more, with Download promising the 2019 bill will be announced soon and will be a “corker”.

Speaking with The Music before the event’s Melbourne debut this past March, festival producer Nigel Melder said they were trying to “offer a day that is going to be a lot better than what people have had previously”.

It’s a goal they hit pretty quickly with the festival’s 2018 date playing out to nearly 30,000 punters and rave reviews.
