It's been around 12 months since we've heard from Melbourne four-piece Ceres, but they're back with a bang with a brand new track.
Premiered on triple j's Good Nights show last week, Viv In The Front Seat is the track that broke a near year-long stint of writer's block for frontman Tom Lanyon.
"My girlfriend lost her parents and her dad was named Viv. He was an artist, and she had all these little sketches of his which I got framed," said Lanyon of the track.

"There were eight pictures, little A4 frames, and when I picked them up from the shop I stacked them all in the front seat of my car and put the seat belt over them, and in my head straight away the lyric popped into my head: I’ve got Viv in the front seat."
To celebrate the release of the track, the band are heading out on tour for a limited run of shows this October and November, with stops at Howler in Melbourne, Lansdowne Hotel in Sydney and The Foundry in Brisbane.
