Melbourne-via-Darwin indie pop trio Bell City Square have come out all guns blazing ahead of their BIGSOUND showcases next month, announcing multiple signings and dropping their debut single.
The band has today made a powerful sonic statement with the release of Make Me Feel Nothing, with big things to come as they sign on to be co-managed by Handshake Management and Custom-Made Artist Representation, the teams who currently look after The Jezabels, CW Stoneking, Alex Lahey, WAAX and more.
"The idea of it almost came from a Truman Show-esque situation where you feel like no matter what you do there's a predetermined outcome,” singer/multi-instrumentalist Sam Weaver said of the band’s debut cut.
"I love house music and more minimal electronic music…and with that kind of music every element just fades in and does its part - adds to the rhythm or something - then drops out."
The single and management news is accompanied by multiple bookings deals too, with the band now represented by Select Music in Australia and New Zealand, legendary booker Tom Windish at Paradigm Agency in North America, CAA in the UK and Europe and Magnetic Asia in Asia.
