I Killed The Prom Queen's Michael Crafter has addressed offensive comments he made in 2016 after the band's appointment to the newly-announced UNIFY 2019 line-up was criticised today.
The festival has been called out for the lack of female artists announced on the bill this morning, as well as the recruitment of I Killed The Prom Queen, in which Crafter will re-join the band for an exclusive one-off performance.

Screenshots of Facebook comments published by Crafter two years ago have since circulated online, including one which reads, "End of the day a festival is about getting cunts to shows… I'm sure there's enough girls get [sic] finger banged in the tents to be happy enough about the festival".
Crafter has today addressed those comments on Twitter.
"Two years ago and plenty of time [sic] years previously, I said a lot of dumb stuff online to troll, cause drama and bait people to piss them off," the tweets read.
"Things I said then are not a reflection of who I am today, as two years is a long time.
"I completely understand why people are pissed off, and I am sorry and I really regret it. I want women to succeed in music, my daughter included if that’s the path she chooses. I’m massive on being positive and pushing yourself and think my life nowadays is a reflection on that."
The Music has contacted UNIFY for comment.
