Beloved Queensland festival Jungle Love is getting an upgrade this year, teasing a secret new venue as the first batch of acts on the 2018 line-up are revealed.

Entering its fifth year, the three-day event will set up among the sprawling, uninhibited rainforest of Queensland’s Sunshine Coast Hinterland, with headline sets from psych legends Pond, glitch-hop producer Opiuo, British neo-soul artist China Bowls and more from 29 November - 1 December.

Describing the 2018 event as “more inclusive, free-spirited and conscious than ever”, organisers have once again made an effort to highlight local talent, with more than half the artists named so far hailing from Queensland.

This year’s event will also feature the Jungle Love Allstars performing a live tribute to Justice, which will see a number of Brisbane’s best musos join forces with string quartet to perform the French duo’s songs.

“It’s going to be truly epic and will feature tracks from all three of the French duo’s albums,” festival co-director Raymond Williams said.

Here’s the first artist announcement in full:
