Deconstructed rockers Tropical Fuck Storm have just inked a deal with US label Joyful Noise Recordings.
Signing the "Melbourne underground weirdos," JNR will release Tropical Fuck Storm's debut A Laughing Death In Meatspace in the US, UK and Europe this October.
Gareth Liddiard is optimistic about the signing. "The band and myself are quietly confident that the US release of ALDIMS will bridge America's political divide and usher in a millennia-long age of peace and prosperity," he said.
The Music rated the album four stars out of five, with Chris Familton saying the band "are a glorious detour into deconstructed rock music, reflective of societal malaise and unafraid to tell it like it is". Check out the full review here.
Tropical Fuck Storm will join JNR label mates including Dinosaur Jnr, Sufjan Stevens and Deerhoof.
Catch the band live later in the year at Winter Wild and Yours & Owls festivals with all the details in theGuide.
