The next generation of WA music lovers will receive a schooling on epic local music next month with the arrival Sound On Festival.

The festival’s huge inaugural line-up – aimed at high school students between the age of 14 – 18 – will take over Perth Arena on September 28 with headline sets from Alison Wonderland, Cosmo's Midnight and Tkay Maidza, alongside local legend and recent The Voice winner Sam Perry, Arno Faraji and Flex Mami.

The indoor music festival combines “music with immersive and innovative experiences” and will feature talks from The Indigo Project’s Mary Hoang and TV presenter Dom Pratt, alongside a gaming zone, chill out area and more.

“Sound On is an incredible opportunity to connect with the spirit of Perth teenagers, who love good music and are keen to take charge of their futures by exploring their minds,” Hoang said.

“The combination of massive artists, alongside immersive workshop experiences, makes this unique festival a playground of entertainment and empowerment.

“We're so excited to partner with Murdoch University to bring to life this one-of-a-kind event and foster free thinking amongst the young people of Western Australia. It’s going to be unbelievable.”
